Yoga for Kids (and parents)!
Come spend an hour with your kids moving and having fun with Yoga for Kids! This “Yoginos” based class incorporates literature, music, and yoga movement for a fun, energizing and engaging class. We will spend time on the mat exploring ways to handle emotions in a positive way, while building open communication between parent and child about sibling/friend rivalry and issues that can seem big to a kid. Parents will leave with something new in your toolbox when your child needs time to cool down and think before reacting to a situation. We look forward to seeing you all on the mat!
Wear comfortable clothes and a smile! Mats will be provided at Aerial Horizon, but feel free to bring your own.

Taught by NEISD educator, Shannon Darilek: “I grew up in Kentucky and relocated to Texas in 2003, when I met my husband. We have two OHMazing® children that I love to travel with every summer. I am a certified elementary teacher and I am currently teaching Physical Education at Oak Grove Elementary School in NEISD. My yoga journey began in 2003 when I attended my first yoga class. I knew then that I was hooked but I had know idea that my journey would lead me down an Ohmazing path of teaching yoga to children. Seeing the struggles that my students faced everyday led me to pursue a training to teach children’s yoga. With the support of my administration, I have attended two Yogino’s trainings (Module’s 2 & 4) and currently teach my students at school during their physical education class. I look forward to expanding my teachings outside the school atmosphere in the coming months.”
