Nicole Sirdoreus is coming to Aerial Horizon Oct. 13-15, 2019! Come train with her on hammock, lyra, and silks! Check out her workshops and register here:
Sat, Oct. 13 from 4:45-6:45 pm
In this intermediate workshop, you will learn a routine that will take you from the ground to the air and beyond. While learning classical and modern dance choreography, discover how to use your sling as a dance partner and how to command it as you perform fabulous tricks and transitions. While a dance background isn’t necessary, you should have some aerial experience and be ready to spin!
Prerequisites: Aerial experience on any apparatus required. Must be comfortable inverting.
LYRA FLOW & FLUIDITY
Sun, Oct. 14 from 2-4 pm
In this single-point aerial hoop workshop, you will learn a spinning lyra routine that will enable you to find your flow and expand your creativity by exploring new shapes and uncovering new ways to enter and exit skills. Focusing on transitioning from one movement into the next with control and fluidity, you will further develop your skills and lines. You will use techniques gleaned from classical and modern dance as well as contortion to expand your creativity and hoop vocabulary, particularly regarding splits and rolls.
Prerequisites: Hoop experience required – comfortable inverting, spinning, and feel successful in single knee hangs.
SULTRY SILK CHOREOGRAPHY
Sun, Oct. 14 from 4:30-6:30 pm
Give your climbs, transitions, and skills some style! Transform your tricks from standard to sassy with Nicole’s trademark techniques. Using jazz, ballet, and Fosse-inspired dance gems, learn how to exude the personality your silks skills are looking for.
Prerequisites: Aerial experience required. Must be comfortable climbing and inverting.

BIO: When Nicole was a tiny ballerina, she would lie face up and wedge her heel beneath the bar of her bed frame for extra split-stretching time, too excited for her next dance class to bother sleeping. Nicole has since used that drive to become a graceful, serpentine aerial artist with wicked, flowing lines. As such, she focuses on strong technique as well as carving out non-traditional shapes and pathways.
Classically trained in ballet, pointe, tap and jazz, she danced for Orlando, Florida theme parks and events before immersing herself in aerial arts in 2012. Although lyra is Nicole’s primary love, she also excels at silks, hammock, cube, and lollipop lyra. Nicole is an accomplished, emotionally invested performer, choreographer and storyteller who has performed throughout Florida and the Southeast as well as the Bahamas, Belize and Mexico.
When she isn’t performing solo or in a duo, Nicole is usually training in the studio or squealing with glee when one of her students achieves even the smallest victory. She feels happiest choreographing and making art as well as helping students make skills their own.
