Rachel Walker is a Montreal based aerial trainer. Her coaching and choreographic work has been featured in: Cirque du Soleil’s “O”, “Varekai”, “LOVE” & “LUZIA”, Dragone “LE REVE”, Cavalia “ODYSSEO”, Circus Monti, Cirque Plume, SOLYCIRCO Festival, GYNOIDES, Palazzo, Midnight Circus, Cirque Mechanics, Cirque Bezerk, & The Los Angeles Women’s Theatre Festival. Her students have been accepted to professional institutions such as ENC, ECQ, and ESAC. Rachel Walker starred as the original Swinging Trapeze Artist with Cirque du Soleil’s “KOOZA”. She has also performed with TV 5, Circus Discordia, Paradiso Festival, and The Dresden Dolls. She was formed by legendary trapeze coach Victor Fomine, and trapeziste-co founder of 7 doigts, Shana Caroll.
Rachel holds a diploma from the Ecole National de Cirque 765 hour accredited teacher training program, where she is an affiliate coach. She has participated in NECCA teacher trainings. Rachel acts as a guest teacher in North and South America, Cape Town, and Buenos Aires. Rachel has been on the judging, and pre selection panel of the Aerial Acrobatic Arts Festival in Denver since 2012, and has received a grant from Polo Circo, to present her Master Classes in Buenos Aires.
